I'm not saying I'd like to build a summer home here......but the trees are quite lovely.

Nothing is more exciting than having the whole family together. Mark is home for Fall Break and Dan decided to come up for the weekend for a break. Of course Jon comes over about every weekend anyway.  Add to that the fact that my dad just got home from a trip and it's the perfect weekend.  The last time we were all together was Labor Day weekend. I know that wasn't that long ago but it sure feels like it to me.  When you can't drive you treasure the times when others come visit you because you can't go see them yourself.  Anyway, the Guiles Family is back together for two days and I plan to enjoy every minute of it.

I can't believe that in one hour I will be leaving my house to drive to the airport.  I also can't believe that in three and a half hours I will be on a plane headed for Paris!  I am so excited!  I will be sure to post pictures when I get back.

Bye for now!

"Happy Birthday to me.  Happy Birthday to me.  Happy Birthday to Melisa.  Happy Birthday to me!"

Wow, where to begin.  I am finally sixteen!!  I got most of my present on Saturday because my dad left yesterday for Africa.  Here we go with the list:

the guys-  Pride and Prejudice the book and the movie (both good by the way)

the grandparents-  a shirt, a jean jacket, some candy, a journal, and $100 so that my dad can take me to a 7-course dinner for my birthday and whatever is left to spend on the present I'm going to list next.

the parents-  A TRIP TO PARIS OVER SPRING BREAK!!!!  When we're 15 my dad takes us on a special trip.  Well, I had to wait till I was 16 and because it's Paris and expensive it became my birthday present.
-also from my parents I got a pearl necklace, earrings, and bracelet.  The story behind this is that my dad got them for me on his first trip to the Philippines and my parents saved it to give to me when I was 16.

Overall, it was a great birthday.  It feels great to finally be 16!!!!

Hey!  So, tonight was the Dinner Theater at my church.  It's a fundraiser for the youth to help pay for Momentum (or BNYC for all the people who didn't know they changed the name).  It was really good.  My dad convinced me to play a song on the piano for it.  I actually ended up playing two pieces cause one of them was really short.  It went really well!  I actually didn't mess up at all which is kind of funny because at my recital a couple of months ago I played the same two songs and messed up like twice.  For my recital I worked on those pieces for about two months.  This time, I only started brushing up these songs on Tuesday night.  Weird isn't.  Anyways,  it went really well, except now I have a headache from being so nervous.  It doesn't help that I've been sick with a really bad cold for the past two days.  Well Dan, when you come home tomorrow you'll have to do a check-up on me so you can practice on someone who is actually sick.

By the way, I really like this song.  For all of you who haven't heard Dashboard you're missing out.  Listen to them.  I mean it!!

Hi everybody.  I haven't been on in a while.  My life is pretty boring right now.  The only exciting thing is that I'm not going to have finals this trimester because we missed so many days of school.  That's exciting!.  Hey, it's almost my birthday!  Only one more month.  I can't wait!  I will finally be sixteen!  Wow, I'm getting old (LOL).

I keep getting letters form colleges and I'm only a Sophmore.  It's because I took the PSAT this year.  It's nice to get mail finally, but it's kind of annoying.  Today I got one from IU, NYU, and Ball State.  The one from IU said I was interested in Industrial Engineering!  I have no idea where that came from.  For the PSAT I had to fill out what I wanted to study but I put teaching not engineering.  Screwy.  Anyway, that's all for now.
